*"Through diligence, patience, commitment, desire, and motivation, Joe has transformed my life in a way that I thought was unattainable. I've been a client of Joe's for a year now and went from 240 pounds to 200 pounds. I was a size 36 waist and am now a 33. Joe provides a proper nutrition plan, a vast intelligence for the science behind fitness, and a determination to help his clients succeed. Joe has made me go from not wanting to take my shirt off, to finding myself posing like a fitness model in the mirror daily. He shows you that you can go beyond failure and reach heights you thought your body would not allow you to. In addition to losing body fat, I have gained much more muscle. I went from not even being able to do 15 pushups in a row, to being able to do 50. For anybody who is looking to better themselves, Joe is the guy. You could not find a more motivating person to train with and a classier guy. He is not just talk like many trainers I've been to. He's gotten the results!" - Nick T.
*"Seriously Joe, thank you for all your help. You've really helped keep me pushing forward and to strive to be better each and every week. I can see and feel the changes and it's really fantastic. I actually look forward to my workouts and kicking ass each time. And I get ticked off when I have to move my workouts around. So seriously thank YOU for all your help, support and motivation. It really is appreciated!"
"Well Joe, here is something you probably don't hear every day: WOOHOO I"m OVERWEIGHT! I'm OVERWEIGHT! WOOOHOOO! I'm OVERWEIGHT! WOOHOOO! Today is the first day I've entered the OverWeight category having come down from Morbidly Obese to Obese and now to the new milestone of Overweight. All of this naturally through diet and exercise--no crazy weightloss supplements, no bariatric surgery or lapbands or other nonsense. It's not easy, its not fast but damn it feels good :) I'm OVERWEIGHT! I'm OVERWEIGHT! WOOHOOOOO!!!!"
"Well Joe, today was a new milestone despite being injured! Today I reached 193.2 lbs...just over 150 lbs from my highest. One Hundred and Fifty Pounds! I am nearly half the man I was. So I just wanted to say thanks again for all your help and support on this journey. It really means a lot having you as my trainer and without you I wouldn't be successful. You inspire me every day to stay on track and not lose sight of my goals even when obstacles are in the way. So thank you! " - Rob J.
*"Hello Joe, First off, thank you so much for redesigning my routine. I started feeling that sweat again and that is always a great thing. Also I appreciate the inclusion of the specific equipment I have into the routine, that was really cool of you. The meal plan has been awesome; I've been able to follow it and actually enjoy the foods I'm eating. Also, I have just signed up for a 5k, it is called “Color Me Rad” and it will take place at the end of August, a group of friends and I will do it and I think that will be a good goal to work to this summer and it'll be a proud accomplishment and something that I never thought I'd be able to do. Finally, I am at the 239 mark which means I will be under 240 when I walk the stage for my graduation, and I really thank you for helping me get there" -Stephon A.
*"Joe, My last day with you was July 31. I looked and saw I signed up January 31. It's been half a year. I've made a real change. I got out of the slump finally, and began a consistent gym regimen. It was fits and starts at the beginning but now it's 4 days a week and more for 4 months without exception. Tomorrow will be day 5 at the gym this week. Last week was a convention and I still managed to do the gym. I've even managed to convince my nephew to workout. You were a big part of that and I want to say thank you. I made a great decision choosing you. My body composition has improved greatly, I've gained muscle, strength, and become leaner. Thank you for coming alongside and helping with guidance & encouragement. I hit those last reps and remember what you told me about maxing out and not just counting reps. You know without my saying it, I needed a trainer and I got the best. And all the best to you. I feel a little foolish to admit it but so help me there's a place in my heart that says Zucchi. Take care, Joe." - Lou M.
*"Joe, I wouldn't have been able to do it without you. I've tried so many diets in the past and always ended up gaining back the weight. You were the first person to teach me how to make the right food choices and incorporate them into a healthy lifestyle rather than follow some pre-packaged diet. I can now eat the foods I enjoy and still stay on track. And you were able to give me the right exercise program that fits into my schedule and has gotten me the results. I appreciate your additional health tips along the way and thank you for always being there to answer any of my questions!" - Michelle C.
*"Joe is awesome! He approaches personal training and nutrition counseling from a practical perspective to enable his clients to incorporate and understand the lifestyle changes that you're making. His approach is neither controlling not confining. He teaches you how to make good choices in almost any situation and provides you with the tools to keep on track and work together with you to continue to monitor your progress and refine your program. When working out - he teaches as well as encourages - seems like he always knows just what to say to push you further and get the most out of your workout." - Kaj H.
*"My daughter Emily is a high school athlete (starting goalie for her HS Soccer team). She will be playing soccer in college; and realized to compete at the college level her physical strength and abilities needed to improve.
Emily has not been a stranger to strength & conditioning; yet Joe taught Emily more in her first session about strength training and nutrition then she had gained from years & dozens of other trainers/organizations. Joe not only taught Emily about exercises, and how to perform them; but as, or more importantly suggestions to make the exercise more effective, and ways to keep motivation up, and keep the routine from getting stale emotionally, and physical.
Emily’s first session also introduced the topic of nutrition. Just as with his exercise knowledge, Joe blew us away with his expertise in nutrition. Emily left Joe’s first session excited about what she had learned; and enthusiastic about putting it into practice. I know what Emily learned from JPZ Fitness will help her be successful, and prevent injury when she plays soccer at the college level. I urge you to set up an appointment with Joe and JPZ Fitness…no matter what your fitness level, or what you wish to gain from diet and exercise." - Kurt H.
*"I have spent my life wrestling with obesity - gaining and losing weight repeatedly, cycling between 200 and 300 lbs numerous times. Nature, nurture, genes, lifestyle choices, willpower or lack of it - it all seemed hopelessly confusing and complicated. At 50 years old, I decided it was time to seek professional help in managing my weight and my health. I received guidance from a bariatric physician, a nutritionist, and a psychologist and was making good progress. But these efforts did not come into focus until I met and engaged Joe Zucchi. He provided a nutrition plan based on good nutritional practices combined with realism and moderation. But for me, his real strength is his training plan. I have now completed 30 weeks of not only weight management but body recomposition - losing fat and gaining muscle. In addition, my blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes are much improved and under excellent control.
I agree with all that has been written by others about Joe. He is smart, knowledgeable, professional, nurturing, reliable, compassionate - and most importantly, available when you need him. But the best advice I can give is to TRUST him. Put yourself in his hands, commit to the complete program he provides, and together you will regain strength, energy, health, and for some, life itself. Joe will be your companion and guide with you along the way. And like me, you will be forever grateful." - Chuck C. "I just wanted to let you know how appreciative I am of how awesome you are as a trainer. I know when fitorbit folded right after I signed up I was pretty upset, but you let us know you were there for us and gave us the opportunity to continue to work with you even though you had no obligation to do that. For that I am thankful. I have made the decision several times in the past to get in better shape and could never maintain that. The program you set up for me helped me to stay motivated and I now understand how much nutrition plays a factor. I am down 55 lbs since I started this journey with you. Today is 500 days since I last smoked a cigarette and my cholesterol level is under 200 for the first time in many many years. I try and run at least ten miles a week now and never want to go back to what I was and how bad I felt. I know this journey will have its ups and downs and I will have to re commit every morning when I wake up, but you will never truly understand how you have impacted my life. Thank you Joe." - Bruce H.
